Giving Tree Preschool is dedicated to the education of children in an environment designed to stimulate and develop the child’s love of learning. Our use of Montessori philosophy leads to the development of a child’s strong sense of self esteem, dignity, independence, self direction, and awareness of the community. Social and emotional development is fostered in a nurturing atmosphere. Your child will direct his or her own learning with gentle guidance, through Montessori materials and methods. The work areas include Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics, Language, a Children's Library and separate room for Music and Art. To emphasize healthy living, we strive to use locally grown or organic foods.

About our Guide: Kellie is a mother of a two year old and is raising him using Montessori Philosophy. She spent many years as a nanny for primarily preschool age children during which time she became reregistered as a Music Together instructor. Her other accomplishments include National Certification as a Massage Therapist, studies in Herbal Medicine, and the cultivation of endangered medicinal plants. After traveling and living in a variety of states and countries, she and her family have found Oregon to be their home. As her son reaches the preschool age, she is discovering what a joy it is to open their home to Giving Tree Preschool. We welcome you to join us in our appreciation of life, learning, and each other.
